2003 . I had a bunch of recording equipment in my living room and i was working on a rough sketch album between nursing , nap times , and mariachi blasting neighbors.
It seemed that every time i had a chance to record something would happen, and the baby would wake up..and want to sing with me..so cute but so frustrating! so i decided to stop fighting it and just GO WITH IT. I had written this song to my baby anyway while i was pregnant, so i held her up to the mic and just let her help me sing it. It was so funny to see! complete with fake cries, growling and hiccups this raw take is a once in a life time , never to come again. at one point i swear she says "where's Vita" which is weird because she wasn't talking yet, and Vita was my grandmother's name.....
